How To Build A List Of Twitter Followers
HUGE business tip – build a list! If you haven’t noticed, social media is taking the internet by storm and it has completely changed the way we do business online!Twitter and Facebook are the leaders when it comes to building a following online and I’m going to show you a simple strategy for building a BIG Twitter following.
Let’s dig in:
1. If You Want Someone To Follow You, Follow Them First
By following others in your niche, you’re letting them know you’re out there so follow them first and return the gesture. Remember, if you follow people with similar interests, then that greatly increases the possibility that they’ll follow you back.
Remember, you shouldn’t just follow anyone.
If you’re in the IM niche and you’re following athletes, golfers and gardeners, they won’t have any interest in following you.
Why should they? Choose people in YOUR niche to build your followers!
Once you start accumulating followers, you want to engage them and build a trust and relationship with them.
Here are some keys:
a. Be yourself
b. Write like you speak
c. Talk about every day stuff
d. Offer valuable information that will be useful to them
Now, you’re probably wondering, how do I find targeted followers?
2. Use The Twitter Search
The quickest and easiest way to find targeted Twitter users is to use Twitter Search. Simply enter the keywords for the type of followers you’re looking for and the search results will give you people interested
in that topic, in real time. Easy.
Follow everyone that shows up in those results!
When those very users see that you’re following them, they’ll want to check out your Twitter profile (which will include your photo and your related interests) and your tweets.
If your tweets match their interests (and they should), you’ll start getting lots of followers who will want to know more about you and your informative tweets.
Also, you want to set up 40-50 tweets per day!
I realize that sounds like a lot of work, and it is if you’re going to set them up manually. I’ve got lots of other things to do so I automate the process so that it’s hands-off. I have TweetAdder and it does everything for me.
Since I’ve been using it, I get over 300+ new followers a day and have increased my sales conversions.
It not only follows people for you (in any niche), but it automatically un-follows those who don’t follow back, it sends your tweets in any interval and randomizes them for you. Anything that saves me time rocks in my book!

Don’t be disappointed when everyone you follow doesn’t follow back. However, with this highly targeted method, you should see a great conversation rate, at least 50-60%
Take advantage of automation whenever you can. It will not only save you time so you can perform other tasks, but it’s nice to know that you have it working tirelessly behind the scenes for you. (And honestly, it’s nice to turn on the computer in the morning and see so many new followers and sales that occurred while I was sleeping).
3. Unfollow The Users Who Don’t Follow Back
Give yourself 2-3 days before you unfollow everyone who doesn’t follow back. Because of the limits that Twitter places on how many people you can follow, you don’t want to keep those who haven’t followed you. As soon as you hit your limit, you can’t follow any more until you have more followers or remove people you are following
(if you have TweetAdder, the program will do all of that for you automatically) so no worries.
Have fun with this – now is the time to build a list using the power of Twitter!
